She was born in Albany, the daughter of the late Philip and Josephine Sidoti, who emigrated from Italy.
She lived in the Albany area her entire life, graduating from Philip Schuyler High School, where she met her husband, Frank Fzio. They married in 1946.
After raising a family, she worked in the Data Processing Department at St. Peter’s Hospital as a data entry operator.
“Sadie was mostly highly devoted to her family, dedicating her life to their happiness and well-being and always enjoying their company, especially grandchildren,” her family wrote in a tribute. “One of the many things she will be remembered for was baking Christmas cookies for family gatherings and her grand holiday meals.
“Her sporting interest consisted of watching the New York Yankees and expressing her judgments on their strategy and quality of play. Her hobbies included weekly card games with her friends, making ceramics, and playing the organ.”
