To the Editor:

Boy Scouts of America Troop 3050 wishes to extend a heartfelt thank-you to the Guilderland community for supporting our annual bottle drive.

Members of Troop 3050, hosted by St. Madeleine Sophie Church located on Carman Road, would like to express their sincere appreciation to everyone who generously contributed cans and bottles to our yearly bottle drive.

This is our only annual fundraiser, and you helped make it a huge success. Because of your donations, we were able to fill two trucks with returnable cans and bottles.

The deposits from these recyclable items will directly support our community service projects, activities, and programs that help our Scouts develop important leadership skills and teamwork.

Our troop introduced a new QR code on this year’s bottle-drive flyers for those wanting to donate online and we will continue to utilize this method for year-long fundraising on our social media and website. So, if you see it, we ask that you give what you can.

We recognize that we cannot achieve our goals alone and the Guilderland community continually represents our shared commitment to investing in and empowering our youth.
