To the Editor:

The family of the late Nancy Lendrum extends its sincere appreciation to everyone who assisted in the effort to save her life.

Her neighbors from the Warners Lake community tried valiantly and we truly are thankful for all they did both at the time of the emergency and afterwards for giving us information to put our minds at ease.

We also thank the Helderberg Ambulance Squad, Albany County Sheriff’s Emergency Medical Services, East Berne Fire Department, and the Berne Fire Department.

Incidents like this make you value your small community and the caring individuals who make us who we are. Thank you.
