Donate a used bike to play glow disk golf
To the Editor:
An exciting Glow Disc Golf Event and Bike Donation Drive will take place on Oct. 10 from 7 to 10 p.m. at Stephen Wallace Park. This evening event will offer participants a chance to enjoy a night of glow-in-the-dark disc golf while supporting a meaningful cause.
The goal of the event is to collect 50 high-quality used bicycles for the Albany Bike Rescue, which will be donated to people in need. All size bikes are welcome.
Come join the fun when the front nine holes of Stephen Wallace disc golf course are illuminated with LED lights and glow-in-the-dark markers. Participants will be provided glow discs and UV flashlights to navigate the course.
The glow disc golf experience will be a memorable and visually stunning activity for all participants. Plus the New Scotland Kiwanis will be providing free food!
Gather a team of four players and donate at least one used bike to play a free round of Glow Disc Golf. There will be a $20 fee to play without a bike donation. The rain date is Oct. 17. This event is organized by the Voorheesville Running and Cycling Club. More information at www.vrcclub.org.
