An over-the-top Westerlo community

To the Editor:
A huge thank you and congratulations go out to Deputy Supervisor Matt Kryzak, town board member Joe Boone, the Westerlo Library, but most importantly to the offices of the deputy supervisor and town clerk — Amber, Jade, Karla, Brita, and Marta for organizing and hosting an over-the-top community event for the residents of Westerlo!

Their creativity, attention to detail, and organization was superb! The town pavilion at the Westerlo town park never looked so good.

Thanks also go out to those who donated for the event: Hannaford, s’mores supplies, apples for caramel apples; Fox Valley Vail Farms, pumpkins for pumpkin painting; Ecks Farms, mums for photo booth; and Boehms Farms, 10 dozen cider doughnuts and seven gallons of cider.

The park was packed with residents enjoying a great fall day together! Vendors, games for children, displays from the museum, food and entertainment made for a successful day!

It was great to see so many from the community come together and work together, volunteering to help the organizers for the day. It surely seemed like everyone had a great time — especially the children! This is what community is all about!
