Forman named MAAC Female Runner of the Week

GUILDERLAND — Sarah Forman of Altamont, a sophomore at Siena College, has been named MAAC Female Runner of the Week. This is Forman’s first MAAC weekly honor.

Forman garners the award after winning her second straight meet in the second meet of the early season. She is just the second Siena individual to win a meet in the last 15 years.

The Altamont native also set a new Siena 5K record with her time of 18:09. She bested fellow Saint Shannon Bauer’s record by 0.9 seconds, which Bauer set last fall.

    ALBANY COUNTY — Albany County is now accepting applications for grants to enhance, improve, or develop city, town, and village-owned parks, playgrounds, or recreational facilities.

    Grants are capped at $15,000 each from the $150,000 available. The deadline to apply is June 30.
