The Enterprise — H. Rose Schneider
Carla Sofka, a professor of social work at Siena College, talks with sensitivity and insight about curating death in the digital age on this week’s Enterprise podcast.
Hall, who has worked as a small-business owner and farmer, told The Enterprise, “The primary issue in Westerlo is the lack of open discussion and transparency from the board. Each member of the board should be making independent decisions in front of the public. Decisions seem to be made in advance and the majority always votes together.”
At the policy’s core is its 25-80 rule, which says if a housing developer requests assistance from the IDA then at least 25 percent of units are to be set aside for individuals who earn 80 percent of the Albany County area median income.
