To the Editor:

The Berne-Knox-Westerlo Athletic Hall of Fame Committee would like to announce the fourth class to be inducted into the hall of fame.

Heading up this year’s class is Coach Jim Gillis. Jim was a longtime teacher and boys’ soccer coach. Athletes Bob Rowe, Deforest Deitz, Jill Lendrum Norray, and George Martin as well as sports supporter Bob Morey will also be inducted.

And, finally, the 1972 Section 2 class C and Class C-D-E Boys’ Cross-Country championships team will be inducted. The ceremony will be held on Thursday, Oct. 4, at 6 p.m. in the high school cafeteria.

We welcome all BKW students, employees, alumni and alumnae, supporters, families, and friends of these inductees to join us and help induct these outstanding people to the hall of fame. Food and drink will be provided. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me at 518-860-7861.
