Let’s do something that will make us proud again

To the Editor:

I don’t know if the president of the united States is guilty beyond a reasonable doubt of conspiracy or obstruction of justice. I am not a lawyer. What I do feel certain of is that he is a boor, a lecher, and a prevaricator. These specific proclivities of his have been proven by word and deed, well beyond that lauded legal standard.

Those supporting him in places high and low, know this and either don’t care or are willing to look past those things in order to achieve policies more in line with their thinking. I just can’t do that.

It is at best short-sighted and at worst dangerous. As our political norms and discourse descend ever lower, I fear the latter.

It’s a small world and it’s getting smaller exponentially. The president of the United States is a reflection of us and our president is the stereotypical “Ugly American.”

That is not who we are. So how about we do something about it at the ballot box? Something that will make us proud again.
