Leah C. Swint

BERNE —  Leah C. Swint, “a homemaker who enjoyed helping others working as a home health aid,” her family wrote, “entered eternal life on Sunday, Sept. 9, 2018.” She was 87.

Born Sept. 3, 1931 in Central Bridge, New York, she was the daughter of the late Daniel and Barbara Beacraft. She was the loving wife of 53 years to the late William E. Swint.

She is survived by her three children, Teresa Ackroyd and her husband, Harrison, Karen Norray and her husband, John, and William Swint and his wife, Sarah. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Christopher, Harrison, Jack, Dana, Jason, Evan, Hayley, and Dyllon.

Her son, Daniel Swint, died before her.

A calling hour will be held on Saturday, Sept. 15, from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at New Comer Cremations and Funerals at 343 New Karner Road. A memorial service will follow at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be held at Woodlawn Cemetery in Berne.
