I like sharing my memories with others

To the Editor:
I enjoy writing — mostly about living at my home for over 50 years and my many precious times being with Mom and Dad. These memories will never be taken from me.

I think of my home every day. I thank God for all my many blessings.

We had a lot of company. Mom’s cooking was enjoyed by all of us. A friend stopped and said he smelled blackberry pie Mom had made. Funny, because Mom had made the pie.

We all enjoyed Dad’s horses. We took them to Cooperstown and this was a fun time. We belonged to a draft horse club.

When April, my dog, was a puppy, we took her to Cooperstown.

April and me would go for walks — often down by the old sap house. We’d sit by the creek, one of my favorite spots.

So often these beautiful memories bring tears of happiness. I used to write memories on Facebook.

Several times, we had a picnic at our home. Some brought a team. For me, this is a fun time to write about, a relaxed time for me.

I like sharing my memories with others. Believe it or not, I get homesick. It is a great pick me up.
