Report stolen election signs to police

To the Editor:

A recent letter in The Altamont Enterprise reported campaign signs being removed from both public and private property, without the candidate or property owner’s permission. This could be a sign that the residents have changed their mind on who they support and removed the sign themselves.

Albany County Legislator Darrell Duncan has also suffered a loss of campaign signs in certain areas. If you witness this activity, please do not wait to write about it in the newspaper; report it to law enforcement to investigate in an unbiased manner. Thank you.

Darrell Duncan told The Enterprise he had not called the police about his missing signs. “Every once in awhile, people take them. I just put another one back,” he said, adding, “The signs should be banned all over; clean up the environment.”
