Come one, come all to our Big Fall Book Sale
To the Editor:
We hope you are ready for our Big Fall Book Sale at the Voorheesville Library. Besides being an annual event, ENCORE! Books is an important fundraiser for Friends of the Library.
Funds raised throughout the year by the Friends are used for library programs that are open to the public. The ENCORE! Books sheds are fully organized and run by volunteers ranging in age from approximately 13 to 80.
This multigenerational group works long, hard hours from the beginning of May until September with the mission of getting books and media into the hands of our patrons at a nominal cost. Nothing is ever more than a dollar and there are “pop-up” specials throughout the season.
The wide selection available is top notch, and inventory is added to our shelves each week. This year, we have an abundance of CDs and DVDs as well as books galore. Our large puzzle collection is a hit as well.
As we approach the Big Sale weekend, we will continue to tweak the inventory. We finished collecting donations for the remainder of this year.
As of the beginning of May 2024, we will be able to take in more donations. Thank you for your patience and we hope you will tuck your books, puzzles, DVDs, and CDs away until spring.
Visit our Facebook page, Friends of Voorheesville Public Library, for the latest news regarding the Friends events and announcements.
