PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that at the next meeting of the Planning Commission of the Village of Voorheesville the Board will hold a Public Hearing on an application from Voorheesville Public Library, requesting a Site Plan Review to install parking lot lights.

This meeting/hearing will be on Tuesday, September 8, 2020 at 7 PM. It has yet to be determined if this will be in-person or via Zoom teleconferencing.  Those wishing to participate are asked to contact Village Hall for instructions. 518-765-2692

Contractors are invited to submit a prime contract offer to the Owner located at the above address before 1pm on September 22, 2020 for the following project:  


Contract No. 1 – General Construction Work Contract No. 4 – Mechanical Work

Contract No. 2 – Plumbing Work Contract No. 5 – Electrical Work

Contract No. 3 – Fire Protection Work

Bids will be opened and publicly read aloud at 1pm on September 22, 2020 at The Guilderland Public Library.

Bidders must submit a bid form and inclusive attachments, enclosed in clearly labeled envelopes, including identifying the contract for which a bid is submitted.

This document invites contractors to bid on Multiple Prime Contracts to complete an addition, interior renovations, system upgrades, new fire protection system, and other improvements at the existing Guilderland Public Library.

Bid Documents for the Stipulated Sum Contracts will be distributed as digital sets. Bidding Documents, Drawings and Specifications may be viewed online free of charge beginning August 31, 2020 at  www.revplans.com under “Public Projects’, or electronically downloaded for a non-refundable charge of forty nine dollars ($49.00). Complete sets of Bidding Documents, Drawings, and Specifications, on compact disc (CD) may be obtained from Rev, 330 Route 17A, Suite #2, Goshen, NY 10924 Tel: (877) 272-0216, upon depositing the sum of one hundred dollars ($100.00) for each combined set of documents. Checks or money orders shall be made payable to The Guilderland Public Library.  Cash will not be accepted as a deposit.  Any non-bidder will forfeit his bid deposit in its entirety.

The project is tax exempt and State prevailing wage rates will apply.

Your firm will be required to provide Bid security in the form of a Bid Bond in the amount of a sum no less than 10 percent of the Bid Price.  Performance Bond and Payment Bond for 100% of the Contract Sum will be required prior to executing the Construction Contract. Failure to submit the Bid Bond with the Bid is cause for rejection.

A pre-bid meeting and walk-through will be scheduled for 10:00am on Thursday, September 10, 2020 at the Library’s entrance.  Bidders should be aware that COVID-19 procedures will be in effect.  All attendees will be required to complete a short questionnaire, have their temperature taken, wear facial covering and maintain proper social distancing.  

Submit your offer on the Bid Form provided.  Bidders are required to complete Bid Form entirely.  Bidders may provide additional required information as appropriate.

Your offer will be required to be submitted under a condition of irrevocability for a period of forty-five (45) calendar days after submission.

The Owner expressly reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids submitted in response to this bid solicitation.

Please take notice that the Zoning Board of Appeals of the Town of Berne will be holding a workshop meeting on Wednesday, September 16, 2020 at 7 PM at the Town of Berne Community and Senior Services Center located at 1360 Helderberg Trail, Berne, NY.
