Ross J. Herzog

ALTAMONT — Ross J. Herzog “entered into eternal rest,” his family wrote, on Friday, Aug. 26, 2016. He was 30.

He is survived by his parents, James and Elise Herzog, of Altamont; his sister, Stephanie Shelmerdine, of Voorheesville; his grandmother, Mary Boucher, of Altamont; and his niece, Evelyn Shelmerdine, of Voorheesville. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

His sister, Melissa Herzog, died before him, as did his grandfather, John Boucher, and his grandparents, Richard and Patsy Herzog.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass in celebration of his life on Thursday, Sept. 1, at 10 a.m. at St. Lucy's Catholic Church at 109 Grand Street in Altamont. There will be no viewing hours. Arrangements are by the Fredendall Funeral Home of Altamont.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Altamont Rescue Squad, 767 Route 146, Altamont, NY 12009, or to the Altamont Fire Department, 115 Main St., Altamont, NY 12009.
