The New Ford Will

The new Ford Models will be ready next week. Bodies are seven inches longer and have been lowered. Closed cars have a one-piece ventilating windshield and are offered in colors. The Tudorsedan and the coupe are finished in channel green, the Ford sedan comes in Windsor maroon. Closed cars have nickeled radiators; all models have nickel head-lamp rims. A stream-line effect has been obtained by raising the radiator and lamps.

McKOWNVILLE
“Rest Ye Hall” the noted dance hall on Western avenue is gradually becoming more popular every day and we think it is due to the advertising in this paper. We especially invite the old folks out to spend an evening with us. We are sure they will come again. Thompson’s orchestra is furnishing good music and the floor is in wonderful shape for a good old fashioned waltz or whatever it might be. Don’t forget every Wednesday, Friday and Saturday evenings at “Rest Ye” on Western avenue.

KNOX
— Mr. and Mrs. Byron Adams, who have been living at Granville for the past six months, where Mr. Adams was running a garage, have moved back and will reopen his garage here. Their friends are glad they have come back again.

— Rev. A. E. Campion has purchased a new Overland sedan of Barney White of Berne.

A COUNTY FARMERS
TO PICNIC HERE
Two bull calves are to be given as prizes at the annual picnic of the Albany County Farmers to be held at the fair grounds, on Saturday next, Aug. 29, under auspices of the Farm Bureau. The calves have been donated by Parker Corning of Albany and Henry Ingalls of Westerlo and are to be drawn for by members of the Farm Bureau who register at the picnic.

The horseshoe pitching contest will create a great friendly rivalry for the honor of winning for the contestants’ community. The Wright brothers of Berne have been the successful team for several years.

A baseball game is scheduled for the afternoon; the teams to play are Altamont and Ravena. A trap shooting tournament is one of this year’s new features. It will be under the direction of the Helderberg Rod and Gun Club. Athletic events and games are also on the program.
