A huge benefit of recovery during scary times

To the Editor:

There are so many reasons to continue to support the project being considered near Crossgates. The first and most important is the fact that it will bring a Costco to our region, which is smart growth and business that is needed.

My family lives within one mile of the mall and I see this as a win-win situation. The proposed Costco and apartments will bring more residents and people to our town who will live and shop in Guilderland to support our local economy.

Now more than ever, the town needs that sales-tax revenue and business so that we can rebuild after the past several months. I see it as a huge benefit in terms of recovery during scary times.

This project will create a large amount of tax revenue to the town and school district. With three young children in the Guilderland school district, I see this as a substantial boost to their education and an opportunity to ease the burden on us current taxpayers.

Thanks to everyone at the town who has taken the time to work through the project for the past year and to continue to work towards making it happen. I am a resident in complete support of this project and can’t wait to see it happen!
