ALBANY — Jane Olivia Greenwood-Barry, whose artistry was evident in her photography, her cooking, and her garden, died peacefully on Sunday, Aug. 20, 2023, in Albany. She was 60.
 She was born in Voorheesville to the late Donald Greenwood and Sybil Greenwood Kline.

“Jane was a talented and artistic individual with a passion for photography,” her family wrote in a tribute. “She also had a love for cooking, and her meals were always a delight to those she shared them with.

“Jane had a thirst for knowledge and spent countless hours immersed in books, expanding her mind and exploring different worlds through her reading. Gardening was another one of her passions, and she took great pride in nurturing her plants and creating a serene outdoor space.

“Jane Olivia Greenwood-Barry will forever be remembered for her artistic spirit and her presence will be missed by all who knew and loved her.”

Jane Olivia Greenwood-Barry is survived by her daughter, Olivia Frechette and husband, Trey; by her grandson, Bennett; by her sisters, Gail Gabriels (Chris) and Marie Knochenhauer (Eric); and by her brother, James Greenwood (Diane), as well as her nephews, Jake Gabriels and Sam Gabriels, and nieces, Hope Knochenhauer, Rachel Knochenhauer, Sophie Knochenhauer, and Casey Greenwood.

Her parents, Donald Greenwood and Sybil Greenwood Kline, died before her.

A private memorial service will be held to celebrate her life and honor her memory.
