A summer event for the whole family

To the Editor:

I am writing to share that Community Day ’24 is coming up on Aug. 18 from 11 a.m to 2 p.m. at Nichols Park in Voorheesville!

Our New Scotland, a community of fantastic local business owners, is bringing you the second annual celebration of our town and it is going to be epic!

There will be live music by Mike Thomas and the Late Night Philosophers, a chance to meet and shop with a ton of local businesses, delicious food from Sons Deli, The Voorheesville American Legion Post 1493, the Blackbird’s Bike Café (Business For Good) Ice Cream Truck, and Hannaford plus so many fun activities for the kids including a bounce house and face-painting sponsored by our very own Serendipity Day Care Center, a dunk tank, fire trucks from the New Salem Volunteer Fire Department, and a demo by Boy Scout Troop 71!

This is a summer event for the whole family that you definitely don’t want to miss! Check out all the details and a full list of the businesses who will be there on our website www.ournewscotland.com/

See you there!
