PLANS TO HANDLE
LARGE CROWDS AT FAIR
Those attending the fair at Altamont this year will not be delayed in gaining admission or on leaving the grounds as was the case last year when the “big days” attendance were on. The directors have purchased the land running out to Fairview avenue west of the garage and are erecting a new entrance for the purpose of facilitating the handling of the record-breaking automobile attendance looked for this year.

DELMAR
An accident which might have had a much more serious ending occurred at the junction of Kenwood avenue and Delaware avenue last Sunday afternoon. As Fred Lang, a tobacco dealer in Albany, with his wife, son and daughter were driving west on Delaware avenue, a Buick roadster driven by John Fuller, a farmer from Clarksville, collided with him head-on. The Lang car was overturned and all of the occupants thrown out. Mrs. Lang and her daughter were taken into the parsonage of the Reformed church where they were attended by Dr. Irving Van Woert, who afterwards took them to their home on Cuyler Avenue. Both were badly bruised and shaken up and it is feared that Mrs. Lang’s spine is injured. Mr. and Mrs. Fuller, whose car was not badly damaged, were able to drive to their home, and the Lang car was taken to Wright’s garage.

SCHELL REUNION WAS HELD
AT WEST BERNE AUGUST 6

Sunday, August 6th, was a very pleasant occasion for the members and descendants of the Schell family, who were assembled at the home of Albert Schell, one mile north of West Berne.

The attendance, 64 in number, was the largest since the custom was inaugurated in the family, which also added charm to the occasion, as many old acquaintances were renewed after years of absence.
