Golfers at YMCA tourney raised over $100K to help children

To the Editor:

Thanks to you, we are better together.

This past Monday, we welcomed 240 golfers “On the Course for a Cause” and raised more than $100,000 for helping those in need across the Capital Region. Please know how I am grateful that you chose the Capital District YMCA to share your time and resources.

Beyond enjoying friends and fellowship, the Golf Classic provides resources that allow the YMCA to help many children feel happy and safe in a variety of important ways, from summer camp to summer-school education to learning how to swim.

In case you missed it, here's the video we played during dinner Monday, sharing just a bit of information regarding what we’re all about at the Y: https://youtu.be/86X3BnCW-N0

So whether or not your drives were straight, you made a positive difference in the lives of many children. Thank you!
