A great opportunity to meet local businesses

To the Editor:

I am happy to write that Our New Scotland will be hosting the second annual Community Day on Aug. 18, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Jim Nichols Park in Voorheesville. We are looking forward to another successful event!

Guests will be able to meet many of the local businesses within the town of New Scotland, enjoy live music by Mike Thomas and the Late Night Philosophers, and food from the American Legion Post 1493, Son’s Deli, Blackbird’s Bike Café Ice Cream Truck, and Hannaford!

There will be fun activities provided by the Voorheesville Public Library, face-painting sponsored by Serendipity Day Care Center, a dunk tank, and fire trucks from the New Salem Fire Department.

This collaborative event is a great opportunity to meet local businesses and nonprofits, as well as enjoy a fun summer afternoon at the park.
