Grange holds garage sale

To the Editor:

Are you downsizing, summer and fall cleaning, back-to-school cleaning, moving, or just plain old decluttering? We have a new home for your gently-used items, or new items.

We’re looking for donations for our garage sale. We’re accepting items from the public for our sale.  Bethlehem Grange 137 is holding a garage sale on Friday and Saturday, Sept. 6 and 7, and the following Friday and Saturday, Sept. 13 and 14, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. all days.

We’re accepting small furniture, wooden furniture, housewares, linens, holiday items, craft items, fabric, yarn, sewing accessories, sewing notions, records, toys, bicycles, games, puzzles, books, tools, clothing (in good condition), dishes, glassware, collectibles, antiques, CDs, DVD’s, cassettes, bakeware, small appliances, cookware, outdoor or patio furniture, and folding chairs.

No tires, computers or TVs please.

Bethlehem Grange 137 is a not-for-profit organization, and is one of the oldest Granges in the nation, at 145 years. The proceeds from the sale go for maintenance of our historic building, which is on the National Historic Registry.

The proceeds also go toward the community-service projects of the Bethlehem Grange. Also, anything unsold, is donated to other organizations, based on their current needs.

We will begin accepting donations on Monday, Aug.19, after the Altamont Fair. We will be unable to accept any donations after Thursday, Aug. 29.

Please do not drop off donations without first making arrangements to meet one of the following people. There is no place to keep things dry in the event of rain. To arrange for delivery, call me, Carol Carpenter, at 518-421-1384, Vernon Starr at 518-567-4294, or Charles Ryan at 518-227-8954.

Thank you for your assistance!

Carol Carpenter
