Vroman is my family’s choice for real change

To the Editor:

Pete Vroman is again attempting to be our representative in District 111 of the New York State Assembly and I am behind Pete 110 percent. Pete is a true crusader and is out there day and night with real people, developing real-world solutions to our everyday problems.

Pete is not a politician; he is a father, a farmer, and a real friend to the working class. His 32 years as a public servant will serve the people of the 111th very well. In the past 28 years, Pete has been involved or sent manpower to every natural and manmade crisis America has seen. That gives Pete experience his competition simply does not have; he is very qualified for the position.

I met Pete after his retirement from the United States Marshals Service (after 28 years and an appointment from the U.S. Senate) when he was appointed as undersheriff for Montgomery County. My wife, Jennifer, and I worked hard on his last campaign. Unfortunately, Pete fell short in 2014, but rest assured Pete will not lose again.

Pete is a tireless volunteer. He contributes to our Patriot Work parties at the Veterans Miracle Center as was instrumental in Safyre’s Angels. Pete also serves on the Fulmont Community Action Agency, and the Canajoharie Community Youth Center.

Pete will advocate for ethics reform, term limits, and fiscal responsibility in the state and district, just a few things his opponent is against….

Pete Vroman is my family’s choice for real change in our state and he will bring representation back to the 111th district.

God bless America.

Editor’s note: Angelo Santabarbara of Amsterdam, a Democrat, currently represents the 111th District in the New York State Assembly, which covers all of Montgomery County, the bulk of Schenectady County, and two of the Helderberg Hilltowns in Albany County — Knox and Berne.
