Important to present both sides of story fairly

To the Editor:

I am a long-time subscriber to The Altamont Enterprise and have always enjoyed your well-written articles. Your stories always seem to be fair and present both sides of a story.

Therefore, I was surprised and disappointed to see that you did not follow your usual approach to reporting in the front-page story on July 26, 2018 “A familiar Immigrant Story: When Facing Hardship — There is Only Perseverance.”

This piece is one-sided and does not present Mr. Van Wie’s side of the story in full.
