Bartholomew Dowd

FUERA BUSH — Bartholomew Dowd, a meticulous carpenter who loved being in nature, died in the early morning of Thursday, Aug. 3, 2023. He was 62.

“He was surrounded by his family and friends when he went to be with the Lord our God,” his family wrote in a tribute.

“Bart was born on July 9, 1961 in Norwalk, Connecticut, and later moved to Feura Bush, New York,” his family wrote. “He attended Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk High School.

“He was known as the quiet one but was usually just deep in thought. He was a meticulous carpenter and builder who took great pride in his work. He also loved gardening, hunting, sugaring, and just being in nature.

“He found his greatest peace hunting with his brothers and friends or on a tractor at his childhood farm. With all of this in his life, his greatest joy was the birth of his daughter Alyssa Jane.”
