Build the bridge between business, residents, and the greater community

To the Editor:
As a resident of the town of New Scotland and a member of the Our New Scotland business community, I am excited to be participating in the first annual Community Day, set for Aug. 20 at Nichols Park in the village of Voorheesville.

Community Day is a fun, family-friendly event being hosted by Our New Scotland to showcase the many locally-owned businesses right here in the town of New Scotland. Residents are invited to come to Nichols Park from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and meet the owners of businesses that they may not have known were here!

Community Day will also have story time and crafts for our younger visitors, and live music for everyone!

I cannot claim to be a born-and-raised New Scot, but as someone who has lived here for the past 10 years, and started a family and a business here, I can confidently state that New Scotland and the village of Voorheesville form a truly special community, of which I am so happy to be a part.

Let’s help build the bridge between business, residents, and the greater community.
