Clarksville celebrates its history on August 12 with raffles, reptiles, and a car show

To the Editor:

Please join us rain or shine to support the Clarksville Historical Society as well as the Clarksville Community Church. This year, the event will be Saturday, Aug. 12, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Clarksville Community Church at 1997 Delaware Turnpike.

The car show will have five entry classes: Street Rods, Muscle Cars, Classic Cars, Pickup Trucks, and Import/Tuners. There are 35 judged awards as well as dash plaques given to the first 45 cars that register for the show.

We are so excited to have the Reptile Adventure joining us this year. They will be educating us and giving the public opportunities to hold some of the reptiles. The kids are sure to have a blast!

There will be many crafters and artisans this year. They will be selling items such as local honey, soaps, alpaca wool products, cutting boards, leather goods, jewelry, knitted items, candles, pottery, and much more.

The 12th Annual Raffle: will have a first prize of $1,000 in cash, a snowblower for the second prize, a Stihl leaf blower for third, two Zero Gravity Chairs for fourth, and $100 VISA gift card.

There will also be an exhibit of Clarksville history on display.

Breakfast, lunch, and a bake sale will be hosted by the Clarksville Community Church.

Please come out and have a fun day with us.
