Food pantry needs donations

GUILDERLAND — This summer, the Guilderland Food Pantry’s shelves are extremely low, according to Community Caregivers, which has planned a food drive to help support the pantry.

Donations may be dropped off at the Community Caregivers office at 2021 Western Ave., suite 104, on Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. until Aug. 20.

These are suggested items to meet the current need: Canned fruits, canned vegetables, canned meats, rice, prepared pasta dinners, Dinty Moore beef stew, soups, canned ravioli and chili, snacks, juice, condiments, coffee, tea, paper towels, laundry detergent, and toilet paper.

Only non-perishable goods with unexpired sell-by dates will be accepted.
