Altamont Enterprise July 28, 1922
DELANSON
Charles Shoudy had the pleasure of showing his friends a tempting catch of bass from Schoharie Creek, the first of the week. It not only made our mouths water for a taste of the beauties but wish we had time to duplicate the catch.
FEURA BUSH
The hay barns of G. F. Billington were completely destroyed by fire on July 20. There were several tons of hay, coal, etc. in the buildings, also a considerable amount of copper wire owned by the Adirondack Power and Light company.
DUNNSVILLE
Robert, the little son of Willard D. Tygert, was quite badly injured by being run over by a land roller drawn by a tractor operated by his father. He was treated by a physician and is now recovering.
VILLAGE NOTES
— Mr. and Mrs. Donald Whitaker and three children, of Schenectady, have moved into rooms over the Enterprise office. Mr. Whitaker has served 17 years in the United States army, having seen service in the Philippines, China and South America. During the World war he was inspector of ordnance at Washington. At present he is out of work, but is willing to do any kind of work to earn a living here.
— While the village water is at low pressure, during the construction of the filtration plant at the lower reservoir, extra precaution is being taken against fire. The Village Board has engaged Charles Martin and Ernest Haverly to patrol the village and be on the watch for any indications of fire, so that any blaze can be handled before it gains headway.
— On account of extensive repairs being made to the supply reservoir, and the erection of the new filtration plant on land recently donated to the village by the Leonard estate, the water supply will be partially cut off during the coming week. All persons are requested by the Board of Water Commissioners to refrain from using the water for sprinkling or other unnecessary purposes during that time.
