NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a public referendum will be held on August 4, 2022 between the hours of 5:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. at the Town Hall located at 2029 New Scotland Road, Slingerlands, New York 12159 for all eligible voters who reside on any lot or parcel on West Street that is subject to the annexation Petition.

NOTICE OF BOND RESOLUTION
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the resolution published herewith has been adopted by the Board of Fire Commissioners of Berne Fire District in the Town of Berne, Albany County, New York (the “Fire District”) on the 30th day of April, 2022. Such resolution was adopted subject to mandatory referendum and such resolution was duly approved at a special district election held by the Fire District on Tuesday, July 12, 2022, and the validity of the obligations authorized by such resolution may be hereafter contested only if:
(1) (a) Such obligations were authorized for an object or purpose for which the Fire District is not authorized to expend money, or
(b) the provisions of law which should have been complied with as of the date of publication of this notice were not substantially complied with,
and an action, suit or proceeding contesting such validity is commenced within twenty days after the date of publication of this notice; or
(2) such obligations were authorized in violation of the provisions of the Constitution of New York.
SUMMARY OF RESOLUTION
The following is a summary of a resolution adopted by the Board of Fire Commissioners of the Fire District on April 30, 2022. Said resolution authorizes the issuance and sale of a serial bond or bonds and a bond anticipation note or notes in anticipation of the issuance and sale of said serial bonds, in an amount not to exceed $2,745,438. The proceeds from the sale of the obligations authorized in said resolution shall be used for the specific purpose of financing the construction of a fire station. The maximum estimated cost of the fire station project is not to exceed $3,041,000. The plan of financing is to apply an amount not to exceed $295,562 from the Fire District’s Capital Improvement Reserve Fund or the receipt of a grant to pay a portion of the acquisition cost. The period of probable usefulness for said purpose is twenty-five (25) years. A copy of the resolution summarized herein is available for public inspection during normal business hours at Berne Fire District located in the Town of Berne, New York.
