Grant charged with burglary
GUILDERLAND — On July 9, Dennis Grant was interrupted by a homeowner and her children “as he was actively stealing property in their residence,” according to a release from the Guilderland Police Department.
Grant, 43, is a New York State parolee, the release said; the burglary was discovered at 11:24 a.m. on Johnston Road. He fled the scene on foot.
Grant was also wanted for charges stemming from a domestic dispute on July 3, the release said, and was scheduled to be arraigned in Guilderland Town Court on July 14.
Charges for both incidents are: second-degree burglary, fourth-degree criminal mischief, endangering the welfare of a child, second-degree menacing with a weapon, and third-degree assault.
