It’s a quilt show, a learning experience, a social event

To the Editor:

Artistry is alive and well in the Helderbergs. We have quilters, crafters, musicians, and more. The Berne and Knox historical societies are turning the spotlight on the accomplished works of our friends and neighbors in the quilting and needlework world. It's a quilt show, a learning experience, a social event .

Along with the variety of quilts in this show, there will be afghans to view plus special pieces from our museum collections. Live demonstrations add to the day with quilting techniques by Pat Lightbody, JoAnne Brady showing the penny rug making process, and Cheryl Jones giving us a look at loom weaving.

Please join us between 10 and 4 p.m. on July 17 at the Knox Town Hall to delight in the beauty of these homegrown creations. Thank you.
