To the Editor:

The New Scotland Community Food Pantry would like to acknowledge and thank the United States Postal Workers for initiating a community wide food drive on May 11. 

It is very gratifying to be the recipient of our community’s generosity — specifically, the postal carriers and many other postal employees, the community donors, and our volunteers — it  was truly a demonstration of caring for our neighbors.

The New Scotland Community Food Pantry serves our neighbors in their time of need. In addition to this food drive, volunteers assist families with their pantry selections, shop for food, and organize and shelve the products delivered to the pantry. The food pantry is a very important and essential community service in New Scotland.
