The Regular Town Board meeting of the Town of New Scotland for July will be held on Monday July 6, 2020 at 6PM rather than July 8, 2020.  Due to health and safety concerns related to COVID-19 in person attendance will not be permitted.  In accordance with the Governors Executive Order 202.1 the meeting will take place remotely via Zoom.  The meeting will be recorded and minutes of the meeting will be made available at a later date. NOTICE

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Village of Voorheesville Board of Trustees voted on a resolution to create a “Main Street Sewer Reserve Fund”. The purpose of this Reserve Fund is to accumulate moneys to finance the cost of a specific capital improvement for expansion of the sewer system to encompass additional portions of Voorheesville Avenue, as well as Pleasant Street and some or all of South Main Street.

Except as otherwise provided by law, expenditures from the Main Street Sewer Reserve Fund shall be made only for the purpose for which the Reserve Fund is established. No expenditure shall be made from this Reserve Fund without the approval of the Board of Trustees and such additional actions or proceedings as may be required by Section 6-c of the General Municipal Law and any other law.

This resolution is subject to permissive referendum pursuant to subdivision 4 of Section 6-c of the General Municipal Law. The Clerk-Treasurer is directed to post and publish a notice setting forth the date of adoption of this Resolution and its purpose and effect, indicating that it is subject to a permissive referendum.

Upon the expiration of thirty (30) days, and in the event no Petition is timely filed to have this action submitted to the electors of the Village for their approval or disapproval, the Clerk-Treasurer is hereby directed to transfer from the Village’s Building Reserve Fund to the Main Street Sewer Reserve Fund the amount of $65,000.00

The proposed project includes

realigning approximately 70 ft of

Unnamed Tributary to Fox Creek

(Class C) into its original channel.

Approximately 120 yds of material will be excavated for the new streambed.

Approximately 460 yds of medium stone fill, approximately 45 yds of light stone fill and 4,000 yds of select fill will be placed in the current streambed and adjacent to the undermining bank below the road shoulder of CR 9.

Cultural resource lists and maps have been checked. The proposed activity is not in an area of identified archaeological sensitivity and no known registered, eligible or inventoried archaeological sites or historic structures were identified or documented for the project location. No further review in accordance with SHPA is required.
