ALTAMONT — Kenneth William Farrar married Joycelyn F. Stone on June 20, 1959 in an Albany ceremony officiated by then-Bishop Howard Hubbard.

Mrs. Farrar, known as Lyn, and Mr. Farrar, known as Kenny, settled in Guilderland where they raised their two children, Kevin and Deborah. They moved to Altamont in 1973 and now have three grandchildren.

In 1985, the Farrars opened Wheel Care on Route 20, which fixes wheelchairs, a business they still own and operate.

“What an example you set for our marriages,” their children wrote in an anniversary tribute. “Love takes a lot of work and time, and a lifetime to be exact as you’ve shown us. Happy anniversary.”
