Farrell will be an environmental champion and get things done

To the Editor:

Voters have some outstanding candidates to choose from in the upcoming June 25 Democratic primary, the election to replace Assemblymember Pat Fahy, who has decided to run for State Senate. Fahy leaves big sensible shoes to fill and my thanks to all of the candidates who are running for office.

If you are interested in voting for a clean and healthy environment, one candidate stands out. That candidate is Ginnie Farrell, an experienced Albany City council leader, former school board leader, and professional staff person in the State Assembly.

She is uniquely qualified to serve in the State Assembly. Ginnie should be your choice on Primary Day for two major reasons. First, she is fully committed to combating climate change, reducing plastic pollution, and fighting for clean air and drinking water.

But having good positions is not enough. Second, Ginnie Farrell knows how the halls of government work. She has the navigational skills to translate good ideas into actual public policy.

We need smart, savvy, hard-working women like Ginnie in the State Assembly. She will be an environmental champion who will take on the big issues and get things done. I can't wait to see what she does in the State Assembly.
