Barbara C. Brenner and Brian M. Wang are new of counsels at Whiteman Osterman & Hanna LLP. Both are joining the Albany firm’s Immigration Practice Group.

Brenner had been a principal with Copland and Brenner in Latham. She represents clients in a broad range of immigration matters, focusing on family- and employment-based petitions and applications, waivers of inadmissibility and removability, and naturalization and citizenship cases.

Wang had been a sole practitioner. He focuses his practice on all aspects of immigration law, including family- and employment-based immigration, nonimmigrant employment and investor visas, asylum and humanitarian relief, naturalization, inadmissibility waivers, and removal defense.

Wang consults with criminal defense attorneys on the immigration consequences of criminal convictions and advises on crafting plea agreements to avoid deportation. He also has an expertise in citizenship matters, including military naturalization, expeditious naturalization, and complex acquired/derivative citizenship claims.
