Americans need to take our country back

To the Editor:
The irony of today’s news is not lost on America. The extreme right wing of the Republican party is absurdly hypocritical when it comes to life, especially of children.

In light of the latest shooting tragedy in Uvalde, Texas, it is difficult to reconcile the right’s views on abortion versus its views on killing children using guns.

The difference in their response is mind-boggling. As Americans we need to take our country back from the lunatics running the asylum.
