I’m for organic gardening and civil discourse

To the Editor:

Thank you for your excellent writing regarding the benefits of gardening [“Personal growth,” The Enterprise, May 2, 2019].

Fifty-five years ago, when I was 13, I learned to garden organically from my Grandpa and have been gardening organically ever since. As we age, we learn to find easier ways to mulch and weed.

The Master Gardener training is excellent. I was a Master Gardener for several years and I encourage people to do it.

I also thank Gene Napierski for his letter about the Supreme Court — what an honor. [“Consider this image: Justice Thomas locked arm-in-arm with Justice Ginsburg,” The Enterprise, May 2, 2019].

Years ago, the Democrats and Republicans could disagree and still be civil.

Now the radical left has taken hold and they unfortunately do not respect others’ points of view and cause physical harm and limit freedom of speech, which certainly isn’t in the spirit of America.
