The future of the Thompsons Lake Rural Cemetery depends on you

To the Editor:

The annual meeting for the Thompsons Lake Rural Cemetery Association has been cancelled due to the coronavirus. The annual summary of finances and activities is available by sending an email to me, Sue Jordan, at , requesting such.

We are an all-volunteer organization and need new members. If you are a deed holder and care that the cemetery is well managed and maintained into the future, please join us to learn who we are, what we do, and how you can help.

Our future depends on you!

Please consider sending a donation to help with the cost of summer mowing, repair of headstones, and maintaining the roadway. Checks should be made out to Thompsons Lake Rural Cemetery and mailed to Sue Jordan, 276 South Manning Blvd., Albany, NY 12208.

If you are not a deed holder but would like to be, cemetery plots may be purchased as follows: Whole Plot with eight graves for $3,500; Half Plot with four graves for $2,000; Quarter Plot with two graves for $1,260

If you have questions, call Don VanHoesen at 51-326-1549, Shirley Salisbury at 518-673-5711, Lora Ricketts at 518-872-1691, or Sue Jordan at 518-487-4698.
