Christmas, Stanley Crocker, Harold Gardner, John Gade, Harry L. Gaige, Chester Hallenbeck, Kenyon P. Miers, Walter Pennington, Earl J. Sharp, Harold Shoudy, Emil Voss, and Luther Warner.

VILLAGE NOTES.

— Edward Ritter has been fortunate in securing the sales agency for Altamont and surrounding district for the new Oldsmobile. Mr. Ritter would be pleased to show any of the many distinctive models which the Oldsmobile line offers. A demonstration is yours for the asking.

— Charles F. Finke and family have moved from the H. A. Finke residence, at the old village, in to the tenant house of Henry Ellis. Mr. Finke is out of work at present and will be grateful for any kind of employment that may present itself. He can do carpenter work and painting.

— A party of young people, mostly from out of town, enjoyed a social evening at the Enterprise hall last Saturday night. Games, music and dancing were indulged in. Truax’s orchestra furnished the music.

— A horse belonging to Fred Becker’s livery, while being driven over Maple avenue, Sunday evening, became frightened by an automobile, reared on its hind legs and turned partly around in the road, smashing a wheel of the wagon, besides giving the occupant of the carriage a good scare.

CLARKSVILLE.

— At the Liberty Loan rally here last week over $7,000 was subscribed. The quota of our village was $5,000.

— An agricultural meeting was held here last Tuesday evening in Grange hall, with H. E. Crouch, manager of the Albany County Farm Bureau, presiding. Mr. Crouch spoke of the previous work of the bureau, and a committee of four men, A. H. Rowe, Garrett Frederick, E. L. Mitchell and M. N. Barber, was chosen to assist Mr. Crouch with any difficulty the farmers in this section might have.

TO LET.

To Let — Near Delmar, house, barn, 40 acres, suitable track gardening, water, electricity; $20.00 month. Oliver, 51 State, Albany.

NEW SALEM.

— The welcome showers and pleasant weather are bringing out the wild flowers to bloom, and the young folks are enjoying many “hikes” to the fields and mountains gathering them.
