The Guilderland Historical Society’s May 16 program will be “Gravestone Cleaning and Preservation,” presented by Christopher White, an experienced gravestone restoration expert.

White is a genealogist, historian, and gravestone conservator. He will be discussing gravestone preservation including cleaning, repair, what to do, what not to do, and when to do nothing. Anyone with an interest in cemeteries and gravestones and monuments will find his talk informative.

Meeting time is 7:30 p.m. at the Mynderse-Frederick House at 451 Route 146 in Guilderland Center. The public is invited to join us for this free program and the social hour following. For more information, call 518 861-8582.
