Beekeeper to talk on importance of pollinators

To the Editor:

On May 12 at 10 a.m., the Guilderland Garden Club will be holding its monthly meeting at the Guilderland Town Hall.  The business portion of the meeting begins at 10 a.m..

At 11 a.m., local bee keeper Jeff Taft will be making a presentation on beekeeping and its importance to the well-being of us all. The bee  population both locally and nationally has been under stress.

We need these little guys. No bees, no fruit. No bees, no flowers. They do so much for us. Please join us and learn what we all can do to enhance the bee  population. No Mow May is important to allow the bee habitat to thrive.

You are invited to attend. The Guilderland Garden Club is an active group. We have scholarship drives, garden care at Guilderland properties such as the Mynderese-Frederick House and the Schoolcraft House as well as the holiday program at the Mynderese-Frederick House. Please consider joining us.
