Please, please, wear a mask

To the Editor:

As I travel around the Hilltowns, I see people in pairs and small groups outdoors who are not wearing masks and not social distancing. This is dangerous and puts everyone we come into contact with at risk.

Medical experts have told us that we can be infected by someone who has COVID-19 and not be showing symptoms. We, in turn, can infect others even if we’re not showing symptoms.

Governor Andrew Cuomo’s recent executive order requires everyone to wear a mask when in public places. Just because we live in small communities in the country, don't think we’re immune to this deadly disease.

It doesn’t discriminate based on location. Please, please, wear a mask and keep yourself and others safe and healthy.
