Green & Clean a class ACT

To the Editor:

Altamont Community Tradition sends its thanks and appreciation to our community volunteers who participated in our Green & Clean event, held on April 22. The village gardeners provided ample direction to guide everyone in the annual effort to preserve Altamont’s parks as a beautiful respite.

The Boy Scouts of Troop 264 brought their energy and enthusiasm, right along with their rakes and wheelbarrows. They, along with the other volunteers, contributed their time as we recognized Earth Day, an occasion to remember the need to preserve our environment.

The simple beauty of Altamont is reflected not only in its parks, but in the dedication of local volunteers who make our community a lovely place for all our residents and visitors to enjoy. ACT thanks you.
