Randy wants to make the school a safe and secure place

To the Editor:

This is a letter of support for Randy Bashwinger, running for the Berne-Knox-Westerlo School Board. The election date is Tuesday, May 15, and anyone who has voted in a town election can vote (even if you’ve never voted in a school board election before).

Randy Bashwinger works hard and has lived in the Hilltowns for a long time (over 30 years in Knox and over 10 in Berne). He has four kids currently attending BKW and wants to help make the school a safe and secure place where students learn and the staff thrives.

I’ve heard people express surprise that he would have the time (Randy has been town of Berne highway superintendent since 2015). But how does anyone find the time for this service? How does he find the time for the Helderberg Rescue Squad or the Berne firehouse or the BKW Little League?

Make a note of the date: Tuesday, May 15, 2018. To vote, you need to be registered. BKW District Clerk Denise Robinson (518-872-5102) can help with any registration questions.
