Randy is about you and yours!

To the Editor:

I have never written a letter for a candidate because I usually like to steer clear of the political arena. However, this time is different.

I am writing to show my support for Randy Bashwinger, who is running for a seat on the Berne-Knox-Westerlo School Board. I have known Randy since he was about 10 years old.

As an adult, he is still the person I knew back then. He has always been very thoughtful, caring, and compassionate and is always putting other people before himself.

When I heard he was running for this seat my response was, “Are you crazy?”

His response was, “It’s all about the kids, Hol.”

He will fight for the kids as he is working alongside others. When everyone else is making excuses why they can’t do something, Randy is standing right there first in line to do something. He knows how to set priorities and is highly capable of considering everyone’s different viewpoints. This is the personal side.

From the business side, my husband used to deal with Randy in the construction industry. Randy was very professional, competent, and handled large financial transactions.

He is honest and keeps his word. Everyone is getting to see that side of him as the town of Berne highway superintendent. Again, Randy walked away from a very high paying job to take the job in Berne — to make the town better for the people.

Are you seeing a pattern? Randy is not about Randy. Randy is about you and yours!

My last child graduated from BKW last year, but I will eagerly be waiting to see what Randy will bring to the table for all of your children, including four of his own. No one will be left behind if we give him the chance and vote for him on May 15. Best wishes, dear friend!
