Comptroller launches COVID-19 Financial Survival Toolkit

“The COVID-19 pandemic has upended our lives, as well as the state economy, and it will be a long road to recovery,” said Thomas Dinapoli in an announcement. “To help ease the difficulties many are facing, my office developed the COVID-19 Financial Survival Toolkit for New Yorkers with links and resources for residents, government entities, nonprofits and businesses.”

The toolkit includes health updates; information on unemployment, sick leave or family sick leave benefits; guidance on protecting personal finances. The comptroller also advises state employees and retirees to take advantage of  direct deposit for immediate access to money without having to risk exposure at the bank. Direct deposit enrollment forms for employees and retirees are available on the comptroller’s website.
