To the Editor:
I am writing today to express my support for Matthew Bergeron in his run for the Voorheesville Board of Education.

I have known Matt since shortly after he moved to Voorheesville. I have had the honor of knowing Matt and his family through Odyssey of the Mind as well as Girl Scouts.

In speaking with Matt over the years, I have found both his passion and expertise in education law are clear. His experience as a labor attorney has prepared him for this role.

On a more personal note, Matt also was instrumental in persuading the Voorheesville Board of Education to create a student position on the board. This model has been recreated in nearby school districts as well.

My daughter has had the privilege of being the student school board member for the 2023-24 school year. This has been a great learning experience for her and she looks forward to using all she has learned while studying political science next year.

It is this outside-the-box thinking that I believe sets Matt apart in this race.

Please consider voting for Matt Bergeron for Voorheesville Board of Education.
